In 2011, I borrowed my father’s cheap acoustic guitar — unknowingly taking the first step into what would become my career in music. What began as a simple curiosity to learn a few chords quickly grew into a deep passion, not only for playing music but for writing it as well.
That same year, I discovered some old recording equipment in my father’s garage. At just thirteen years old, armed with a small mixing console, an aging desktop computer, a trial version of a DAW, a pair of worn-out speakers and a microphone of questionable quality, I recorded my first songs.
Throughout my teenage years, I taught myself how to play, read, write and record music. Although I felt a strong desire to pursue a career in music, I initially lacked the confidence to fully commit. After a brief detour in college, I realized during a lecture that music was not just an interest, but my true calling.
In 2018, I was accepted into KASK Conservatory in Ghent to study music production. Over the course of five years, I refined my skills as a producer, engineer, songwriter and arranger through intensive training in production, harmony, songwriting and arranging. I graduated magna cum laude with a master’s degree in 2023.
While my tools and technical abilities have evolved far beyond those early recordings in 2011, my enthusiasm for music remains just as strong as it was back then.
